Lead Toddler Teacher Position

Sunrise Montessori School is looking for a Lead Toddler Teacher for our South Campus at 14233 N 47th Ave. This teacher is expected to have experience in a Montessori Toddler class, have great leadership skills, good written and oral communication skills, and teamwork.

The Lead Toddler teacher is responsible for, setting up the classrooms, creating work that fits with the monthly themes, delegating assignments to the assistant, working closely with the Lead Primary Teacher, monitoring the children during work time and lunch/playtime, giving students lessons on work, following a schedule, diaper changing, potty training, cleaning the classroom, and much more!

Hours (may be subject to slight change)

Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM


  • Working consistently Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

  • Assisting the students during work time

  • Utilizing the Montessori Method to teach children aged 18 months to 3 years old

  • Observe each child during class and document information

  • Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments

  • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)

  • Organize nap and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times

  • Supervise children during playtime and lunchtime to ensure they are safe

  • Collaborate with other educators

  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards


  • High School Diploma

  • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (MUST HAVE PRIOR TO START DATE)

  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or able to obtain prior to employment)

  • TB Test Clearance (or able to obtain prior to employment)

  • Experience working in a Montessori classroom

Preferred, but not required

  • Previous experience working with children aged 18 months - 6 years old
