Job Description: Assistant Toddler Teacher

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and innovative Montessori Assistant Toddler teacher to join our team at Sunrise Montessori located in northwest Glendale. The Montessori Toddler Teacher will work closely with their classroom’s lead teacher in an environment prepared for students who are 12 months to 3 years of age as well as working closely with the other members of the Sunrise Montessori team to support the mission and vision of the school by providing an instructional program that supports the individual needs of the individual child.

Responsibilities:

To assist the lead teacher with the children in their learning and understanding of the Montessori materials.

To inform the lead teacher of any classroom difficulties, including discipline, health, equipment needs, repair and maintenance.

To meet with the lead teacher to discuss goals for the class and individual students.
Create a safe, secure, learning environment by showing appreciation and respect for the individual differences and unique needs of each member of the learning community.

Supervise children at all times during class in a proactive manner.

Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication about their child’s progress

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED
At least two years professional experience with children required
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of effective and innovative instructional and student evaluation techniques
Excellent interpersonal relations with pupils, parents, teachers, staff and the general public
Associates or Degree in Early Childhood preferred / Montessori experience preferred

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Assistant School Teacher to join our team at Sunrise Montessori School in northwest Glendale. As an Elementary Assistant School Teacher, you will be responsible for assisting in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. Supervising students in class, between classes and during recreation periods and field trips
