Assistant Teacher - South Campus

Sunrise Montessori School is looking for a Primary Assistant Teacher for our South Campus at 14233 N 47th Ave. This person is expected to have some experience in childcare, great leadership skills, good written and oral communication skills, and teamwork.

​The Primary Assistant teacher is responsible for, setting up the classroom, monitoring students during work time, working closely with the Lead Teachers, monitoring the children during playtime, assisting the students during the work cycle, following the class schedule, cleaning the classroom, and much more!

Monday – Friday 8:15 AM – 4:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Working consistently Monday – Friday
  • Assisting the students during work time
  • Utilizing the Montessori Method to teach children aged 18 months – 6 years old
  • Observe each child during class
  • Meet with the Lead Teachers to discuss student progress
  • Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
  • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
  • Supervise children during playtime to ensure they are safe
  • Collaborate with other educators
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (MUST HAVE PRIOR TO START DATE)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or able to obtain prior to employment)
  • TB Test Clearance (or able to obtain prior to employment)
  • Experience working in childcare
  • Preferred, but not required
  • Previous experience working with children aged 18 months – 6 years old

Assistant Toddler Teacher Position

Sunrise Montessori School is looking for an Assistant Toddler Teacher for our North Campus at 8430 W Deer Valley Rd. This person is expected to have some experience in childcare, great leadership skills, good written and oral communication skills, and teamwork.

​The Assistant Toddler teacher is responsible for, setting up the classrooms, monitoring students during work time, diaper changes and potty training, working closely with the Lead Toddler Teacher, monitoring the children during lunch/playtime, assisting the students during the work cycle, following a schedule, cleaning the classroom, assisting during nap time and much more!

  • Working consistently Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 4:45 PM
  • Assisting the students during work time
  • Utilizing the Montessori Method to teach children aged 18 months to 3 years old
  • Observe each child during class
  • Meet with the Lead Toddler Teacher to discuss student progress
  • Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
  • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
  • Organize nap and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
  • Supervise children during playtime and lunchtime to ensure they are safe
  • Collaborate with other educators
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
